Custom domain settings let you serve survey links on your own domain (for example, surveys.yourcompany.com) instead of the default app host.

01

Configure Your Domain

  1. Go to Settings > Custom Domain.
  2. Enter a fully qualified subdomain, such as surveys.yourcompany.com.
  3. Click Save Domain.

Saving resets verification until DNS is validated again.

02

Add DNS Record

Create a CNAME record in your DNS provider:

  • Type: CNAME
  • Host: your subdomain label (for example surveys)
  • Target: your app domain shown on the settings page
  • TTL: 3600 (or provider default)
03

Verify DNS

After DNS propagates:

  1. Return to Settings > Custom Domain.
  2. Click Verify DNS.
  3. Confirm status changes to verified.

The verifier checks whether your CNAME target matches the app domain.

05

Remove a Custom Domain

Clear the domain value and save. This also clears verification metadata.

06

Troubleshooting

Invalid domain format

Use a valid domain-like value (for example sub.example.com), not a path or protocol URL.

CNAME not found

Wait for DNS propagation and verify the record was created in the correct DNS zone.

Wrong CNAME target

The verifier returns expected and actual targets if they do not match. Update DNS and retry.
